The Consumer Products Safety Commission states that there are approximately 24,000 fires each year in homes across America that are directly attributed to either blocked or improperly connected dryer vents.

It is important to know that reduced airflow from lint build-up or improper ducting keeps the dryer running for a much longer period of time, which causes a chain reaction of undesirable results, including:

• Much higher temperatures, resulting in fires
• Shorter life span of your dryer
• Damage to clothing
• Doubling the expense of drying your clothes
